22 Tanzania Instagram Photos & More

At the beginning of March, I turned a scary-for-me age. I could feel age creeping up on me. I had become one of those people who no longer understood why “young people” did the things they did. One thing I couldn’t understand, for instance, was why they spent so much time on Instagram. I mean: what’s so fun about looking at pictures posted by people you don’t even know? Then, two “young people”, my youngest brother (@RichieWallStreet) and my nephew (@Muhaya_Fulani) convinced me to give Instagram a try. Ha ha ha…the joke was on me: it’s been two months and … Continue reading 22 Tanzania Instagram Photos & More

South Africa Travel: Soweto, Johannesburg

Zanzibar International Film Festival: Official Selection

Five years ago, I had the pleasure of attending the 15th edition of the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF). Although I enjoy films, I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy an event that consisted of movies, night after night. I should have known better. I had a great time! Not only were the movies deep and engaging, but there were also musical performances and a slew of other activities to offer enough variety. The selection … Continue reading Zanzibar International Film Festival: Official Selection
