Lemon Spa Dar es Salaam Excellent Massage Reviews 2025

Lemon Spa Reviews

I’ve been back to Lemon Spa several times since that first day and have tried other treatments they offer.

I’ve had my eyebrows threaded (and loved the results!), had a massage (I finally got my first massage in Dar es Salaam!) and a facial (the Calming Green Tea Facial is H-E-A-V-E-N-L-Y!), and had body hair removed through waxing.

The one thing that has been consistent across all my visits to Lemon Spa—other than the pleasure and pampering I’ve received from their treatments—has been the friendly and professional manner in which these treatments were carried out.

Lemon Spa Dar es Salaam

Here’s an updated, detailed look at Lemon Spa — what it offers, where it stands now, who runs it, and what people can expect when they visit.

Overview & Identity

Lemon Spa is a well-known wellness and beauty centre in Tanzania, particularly in Dar es Salaam and Arusha.

It prides itself on combining natural ingredients, high-quality service, and a calming ambiance.

Its philosophy centres on holistic care—body, skin, relaxation—and it aims to create “experiences” not just treatments.

The spa has earned a solid reputation among locals and visitors for its menus of massages, body scrubs, facials, nail treatments, waxing, brow and lash services, among others.

One of its distinguishing features is the use of locally sourced natural products (herbs, spices, flowers) in many of its treatments.

Ownership & Background

The spa is founded and run by Ramona Sequeira Kashmiri, who has training and credentials in beauty therapy / cosmetology (including UK-based certifications).

Under her leadership, the spa also focuses on empowering local women through training staff in beauty and wellness skills, enabling growth into more advanced roles.

There is also a branch in Arusha, so the business is not just a single location—it has multiple touch points in Tanzania.

Locations & Changes of Lemon Spa Masaki

Originally, in Dar es Salaam (Masaki), Lemon Spa was located on Haile Selassie Road.

However, the spa has since moved to a newer and more modern setting. Its current spot is in Village Walk on Toure Drive.

In Arusha, Lemon Spa also has a location (64 Haile Selassie Road, Arusha), offering similar services.

Lemon Massage Reviews: Services & Signature Treatments

Lemon Spa offers a broad array of beauty and wellness services.

Here are some of the major ones:

  • Massages: Different types, relaxing and therapeutic.
  • Facials: Rejuvenating facials tailored to different skin needs.
  • Waxing / Depilation
  • Brow & Lash services: Brow shaping, lash and brow tints.
  • Nail care: Manicures, pedicures, French polish; sometimes more decorative or detailed nail art.
  • Body scrubs: One of their signature offerings is the “Singo” scrub. Singo is an aromatic, traditional‐style body scrub made from fresh jasmine, ylang ylang, rose petals, geranium, sweet basil, sandalwood, rosewater, among others. It’s prized both for its scent profile and for what it does for skin (exfoliating, softening, rejuvenating).
  • Other treatments: Waxing, brow shaping, and other standard spa/beauty services.

Another feature is the heavy use of ingredients like Zanzibar mocha, lemongrass, cinnamon, clove, ginger, etc.

These are not just for marketing—they’re used in many of the spa’s products to enhance both therapeutic and sensory aspects.

Values: Natural, Sustainable & Ethical

Lemon Spa emphasises certain value points:

  • Natural products: Many treatments use ingredients that are found locally and naturally.

Lemon Spa San Antonio Reviews

Here’s a breakdown of what people are saying about Lemon Spa in San Antonio (3706 NW Loop 410), based on recent reviews.

The feedback is mixed, with some positives but also reservations.

What People Like

  • On Birdeye, Lemon Spa has a 3.8-star rating from 5 reviews.
  • Some customers describe the place as a “tranquil retreat” with a relaxing feel, especially for regular massages.
  • A few reviewers appreciate the professionalism of the staff — that their massage therapists are skilled and can deliver a good, straightforward massage.

Criticisms & Areas of Concern

  • One reviewer on Birdeye simply said: “Just a massage, that’s it.” That suggests that for some, the experience is pretty basic — not much beyond the standard massage.
  • There are remarks about timing: on Yelp, some customers mention issues “complaining about their appointment or walk-in time … arriving during peak business hours” can lead to frustrations.
  • There are only a small number of reviews overall (2 on Chamber of Commerce, 5 on Birdeye), which makes it harder to get a broad consensus.

My Take

  • Lemon Spa seems like a decent, no-frills massage spot — good for someone who just wants a solid massage rather than a luxury spa day.
  • If you’re looking for deep relaxation, high-end amenities, or a more immersive wellness experience, there might be better-rated spas in San Antonio.
  • Because the number of reviews is limited, your experience could vary more than at more established, highly reviewed spas.
