Rock Gardens Ruiru (Mahiga Homes Ruiru)
Rock Gardens is the name of two real estate developments in Ruiru, Kenya developed by Mahiga Homes.
These estates are called quite simply Rock Gardens Ruiru Estate & Rock Gardens II Ruiru Estate.
The first Rock Gardens Ruiru Estate is made up of 3-bedroom all-ensuite bungalows with the following specifications:
- Area: 115 square meters
- All ensuite bedrooms
- Modern open plan kitchen
- Gypsum ceiling and tiled rooms
- Large windows for natural lighting
- Inbuilt MDF wardrobes
- Cabro paved driveways
- A car park for 2 cars
- A green area
- Available borehole water for the estate
- A commercial area, and
- A perimeter wall all around the estate
Rock Gardens II Ruiru Estate has homes that are slightly bigger with an area of 124 square meters each.

Both estates have already been sold out and are currently under construction (Update: The first Rock Gardens Estate has now been completed and was handed over on September 25, 2021.)
They are also both located a 5-minute drive off the Thika Superhighway and 25 minutes from Nairobi’s central business district.
Other real estate developments that are currently in the works by Mahiga Homes but aren’t yet sold out include Ruby Gardens 2, which touches the Eastern bypass, and Golden Rock, in Kibati off Thika Road.

Instagram Fave No. 15: Palacina Interiors at the Panari Sky Centre, Nairobi (Interior Design Companies in Nairobi)
It was so nice to be in Nairobi again after so long and to discover this @palacinainteriors store in the Panari Sky Centre where everything was so beautiful and stylish I wish I could take the whole store home.
It was also particularly nostalgic for me because the Moonflower restaurant at the Palacina Residence & Suites on Kitale Lane used to be my default evening drinks/dinner location when I first moved to Nairobi in the early 2000s.

Palacina Interiors is a Kenyan design company that does gorgeous design work for residential, corporate, and hospitality spaces alike.
