It is particularly aimed at skin that feels rough, tight, flaky, or uncomfortable.

What Is in Rosken Dry Skin Cream?
The classic Rosken Skin Repair Dry Skin Cream contains several ingredients that work together to moisturise and soften the skin:

- Olive oil – provides emollient properties and helps soften dry skin.
- Dimethicone – forms a lightweight barrier over the skin, helping reduce water loss and leaving the skin feeling smoother.
- Mineral oil – helps create an occlusive layer that keeps moisture from escaping.
- Cetearyl alcohol – a fatty alcohol that helps condition and soften the skin and gives the cream its rich texture.
The formulation also contains fragrance and fragrance components such as limonene and linalool, so if your skin is particularly sensitive to fragranced products, that’s worth considering.
What Does It Do for Very Dry Skin?
The main strength of this cream is moisture retention.
Rather than simply adding water to the skin temporarily, ingredients such as glycerin, dimethicone and mineral oil work in different ways to hydrate the skin and slow moisture loss.
Rosken states that the Dry Skin Cream can increase skin moisture by up to 89% after the first application, with continued use reportedly doubling skin moisture levels within four days.
That makes it particularly appealing for areas such as:
- Dry legs
- Ashy elbows
- Rough knees
- Dry hands
- Flaky arms
- Dry feet
- Skin that feels tight after bathing
Can You Use It on Your Face?
Interestingly, the product information for the 75 ml and 250 ml versions specifically describes the cream as suitable for the body, hands and face.
However, I would be more cautious about using this particular formulation on the face if you have oily, acne-prone or very sensitive skin, especially because it contains fragrance.
A rich body moisturiser isn’t automatically the best facial moisturiser.
For very dry facial skin, Rosken’s Biomexa Probiotic Moisturiser is a different option.
It contains colloidal oatmeal and is specifically formulated to soothe and protect very dry, itchy skin. It is also fragrance-free according to its listed ingredients.
How To Use Rosken Dry Skin Cream
For very dry skin, the product directions recommend massaging it into the skin morning and night, particularly after showering or whenever the skin feels dry.
Applying it shortly after bathing is a particularly sensible approach because moisturiser can help retain some of the water already present in the skin.
Is Rosken Dry Skin Cream Greasy?
Despite being designed for quite dry skin, Rosken describes it as non-greasy and fast-absorbing.
That said, the experience will depend on how much you apply.
Because it contains mineral oil, dimethicone and olive oil, using a generous layer can leave more of a moisturised film than a lightweight lotion would.
Rosken Dry Skin Cream vs. Rosken Intensive Moisture
They’re closely related products, and the exact formulation can vary by market.
Rosken’s current Australian range includes an Intensive Moisture Body Lotion for dry to very dry skin, while the classic Dry Skin Cream is still sold in several markets.
If your skin is extremely dry, rough or flaky, I’d generally lean toward the cream because its richer texture and occlusive ingredients are well suited to keeping moisture in. If you want something lighter for covering large areas of the body every day, the lotion may be more convenient.
